Another Endpoint Security Company Arises — Malwarebytes Rises $30M

I guess it’s not surprising that with an ever increasing number of devices connected to the internet, there would be a corresponding growth in the number of companies offering to secure all those endpoints. There’s so much activity in new-age internet security companies these days that it’s hard to keep up.

A good case in point is Malwarebytes, rather than a McDonald’s menu item targeted at the tech-set, Malwarebytes is a company that provides software which aims to protect end users against the threats that other antivirus solutions miss. Its Anti-Malware Pro product offering (which, it has to be said, sounds just like a spam-ware offering from a decade or more ago) utilizes behavior-based detection engines that the company says has removed over five billion malicious threats from devices worldwide. The company was founded in 2008 and is based in the US and Europe.
