Malwarebytes Appoints Industry Veteran Akshay Bhargava, as Senior Vice President of Products

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – September 5, 2018 – Malwarebytes™, the leading advanced malware prevention and remediation solution, today announced the appointment of Akshay Bhargava, as SVP of Products. Bhargava brings more than 15 years of experience in product, go-to-market and engineering leadership to the company. In this role, he is responsible for driving the company’s technology vision, product roadmap and execution.

Before joining Malwarebytes, Bhargava was the Vice President of the Oracle Cloud Business Group. At Oracle, he led various aspects of Oracle Cloud across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. He also led the launch of Oracle Cloud Services for Security and Management. Prior to Oracle, Bhargava was a management consultant from McKinsey & Company where he worked with numerous C-suite and boards on topics related to product, strategy, cybersecurity, and GTM. He has held a variety of product, marketing, and engineering leadership roles at FireEye, NetApp, and Rainfinity (acquired by EMC). Bhargava holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from MIT Sloan, with a specialization in entrepreneurship and innovation.
